Specific Actions
Improvement the quality of harmonised technical cooperation to strengthen the national capacity for better health outcomes.
In 2009, pilot a new approach to funding and monitoring in a number of IHP+ countries, starting with Ethiopia and Mozambique.
Continue efforts to develop new lifesaving technologies.
Document and communicate successful case studies.
Locate senior staff skilled in health systems strengthening implementation in Ethiopia, Mali, Mozambique and Nepal (in 2009) and other IHP+ countries through 2011.
Determine detailed plans for funding stronger health information systems.
Implement and report on a single results based framework for the HSDP.
Improve our information management system for financial and technical reporting.
Strengthen monitoring and evaluation and reporting using Performance Appraisal Frameworks for health and HIV/AIDS; establish strong linkages between health and HIV/AIDS PAFs and use these as the monitoring tools for reviewing performance.
